Hunters Woods Fellowship House is a government–assisted apartment complex, located in Reston VA, designed for individuals of limited income who are over age 62 or are handicapped or disabled.  The estimated waiting period for current applicants has reached more than 24 months.

 Effective at 4:30 pm on Monday, February 09, 2009, HWFH will suspend accepting applications for the Section 8 Housing Program.  The current waiting list will remain closed until further notice. HWFH does not anticipate that this will occur within the next 18 months. 

In compliance with federal guidelines, a Public Notice will be posted when the re-opening occurs.

 

 In 1979, Hunters Woods opened and has 224 one-bedroom apartments, a social hall and other common areas.

   A Service Coordinator provided by a HUD based grant help residents work with county and state programs as well as works with residents to solve personal issues 

 

Application- Request rental applications in person, by telephone, or by mail. The rental office is accessible to the handicapped and is located at Hunters Woods Fellowship House.

  

Management is by Fellowship Square Foundation, Inc.-owner and operator of Hunters Woods Fellowship House, is a not-for-profit corporation whose principal activity is the operation of five Fellowship Houses in metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.
